Kaho higashi
Summer Camp 2017
Summary
From August 2 - August 4, 2017, students from 1-1 class spent 3 days and 2 nights at Schole Wakamiya for the annual Kaho Higashi Summer Camp.
The students worked with 5 ALTs on presentations about countries and cultures. Each group had to prepare a short demonstration about a cultural activity. These demonstrations included dances, songs, and traditional games.
In addition to the presentations, the students also lea rned some of the ALTs favorite songs and performed them on the 2nd night of the camp. Each ALT also shared about his/her home culture in morning workshops.
Other highlights of the camp included a BBQ dinner, fireworks celebration, and recreation time at the nearby park.
Both the students and ALTs had a great time and were able to bond during the 3 days. We hope that the students were encouraged to learn English and learn more about other world cultures!
